Zoho, a prominent global technology company, has reported a remarkable 43% revenue growth and a 29% increase in its partner network in the UAE for the year 2023. This growth is underscored by a notable transition into the upmarket segment, with a rising number of mid- and large-scale enterprises opting for Zoho’s comprehensive and value-driven solutions.
While Zoho has traditionally dominated the small and medium-sized business (SMB) sector with its user-friendly and cost-effective solutions, there is now a growing demand among prominent organizations in the UAE, including Al Rostmani Group, Al Shirawi, IFFCO, CAFU, Masafi, Consulate General of India-Dubai, Sharaf DG, and MAF.
In the past year, Zoho observed a 24% increase in large corporations migrating to its platform. The upmarket trend is largely driven by the adoption of various Zoho products such as Zoho One (a unified platform with over 50 products), Zoho Books (VAT-compliant accounting software), Zoho CRM Plus (customer experience platform), Zoho Creator (low-code platform), Zoho Workplace (enterprise collaboration platform), and Zoho People (human resource management software). This shift highlights Zoho’s expanding influence and its capacity to cater to businesses of diverse sizes. In 2023, the UAE emerged as Zoho’s fastest-growing market globally.
Hyther Nizam, President of Zoho MEA, commented on this growth, stating, “The UAE’s dynamic business landscape and its forward-looking approach to digital transformation align perfectly with Zoho’s mission to empower enterprises. We are excited to witness more leading local companies, spanning various sectors, leveraging our comprehensive solutions to streamline operations, optimize costs, and achieve sustained growth. Zoho has thrived in this fertile ground, contributing to the UAE’s ongoing digital evolution.”
Zoho’s expansion into the enterprise segment is further supported by strategic partnerships in the UAE as part of its ‘transnational localism’ strategy. Over the years, the company has collaborated with key government entities, including the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), International Free Zone Authority (IFZA), and Dubai Culture, to support the national digitalization agenda. These strategic partnerships, valued at AED 43 million, have digitally enabled nearly 5000 UAE businesses of varying sizes.
To address the specific needs of UAE businesses, Zoho continues to provide local support and tailored offerings. In 2023, the company became the first technology provider to introduce corporate tax capabilities in its VAT-compliant accounting software, Zoho Books. Additionally, a Zoho Payroll edition was launched to assist local businesses in streamlining payroll operations. Zoho has expanded its regional payment gateway portfolio by integrating with Telr, a leading payment gateway provider in MENA, diversifying its offerings and reinforcing its commitment to local payment requirements, contributing to the transition towards a cashless economy.
