Located in France and now in Dubai on the occasion of Expo 2020, the Immertech start-up has been selected to take part in this worldwide event, to be showcased on the France Pavilion until 31 March 2022. With its Voyager by Immertech capsule, visitors can travel without moving. Designed as a Spatio-temporal capsule in which time travelers take a seat to enjoy a timeless experience, this machine uses an innovative and patented algorithm, to project images in a dedicated 360° space.
With a maximum capacity of four people at the same time, Voyager By Immertech can be used as a teleportation machine. With its 360° camera installed from any specific location in the world, it will send live images to be captured into the capsule, while allowing the users to visit this place without moving. The time machine option is also available as users can also be transported virtually to relive a Wembley concert, Martin Luther King’s speech, and more.
“Our product is unique. It is the first teleportation and time machine in the world. Our technology uses an algorithm for managing images produced by cameras. In terms of application, our product can be used by large groups, for example in the construction sector, to present new construction sites and projects, or in the energy sector, to perform maintenance on oil rigs and nuclear power plants. In addition, this immersive capsule can also be used for entertainment by offering time travel, based on reconstructed settings,” commented company founder Stephane Brard.
While the global pandemic has shown us that new technologies are able to meet new needs on a daily basis, from the comfort of our own homes, this solution is intended to be a new sustainable mode of transport, which allows traveling around the world without moderation. Another use can be imagined for this capsule, by allowing people to communicate from any spot on the planet to any other.
By participating in the France Pavilion entitled “Lumière, Lumières” at the Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE, the start-up is offering itself a unique setting to showcase its products and the opportunity to meet with potential international investors. While demonstrations are carried out by invitation, all the visitors to the business area of the France Pavilion at Expo 2020 can also take their seats in the capsule.
